Tonight I watched the home opener for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. They played the Lincoln Stars in a gruesome match. I am quickly gonna tell you, the reader, what happened.
Let's first state nothing happened in the 1st period so I'll skip that one. The second period started out with a quick Lincoln goal. 36 seconds later, a Roughriders goal, and 29 seconds after that, a Lincoln goal. My favorite part of the second period was a fight between some Lincoln player and #4 Von Ruden who is 6'6". It lasted 2 seconds legit. At the end of the 2nd, Lincoln was up 3-1.
The third period started with 2 quick goals, one by each team, and it was 4-2 Lincoln. "All hope seemed to have vanished until it happened...", the Roughriders scored 5 straight, which totaled to 6 in the 3rd period. The final score was 7-4 Cedar Rapids. Ryan Larkin (CR Goaltender #1) didn't play exceptional, but he got the win. The perfect start to a season. And on that note, I bid you Adieu.
I agree
