Arizona Coyotes starting 5-3-1?

It's a long shot but the Arizona Coyotes have a winning record thanks to the "good" goal-tending by Mike Smith (4-2-1, 2.56 GAA, .922 SV%), and by the offense of rookie Max Domi (4G, 6A, 10P in 9GP). It was no surprise Domi would've had an excellent season, but bringing up a team who had a 3rd overall pick in June to division leading team? That's nonsense, well not really, I'm going to talk about that in this blog post today.
There's no shortage of offense as Martin Hanzal and Max Domi are both PPG players with 10 points in 9 games each. Anthony Duclair, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Michael Boedker follow just short with 7 points. The team in general has 27 GF (goals for) and 22 GA (Goals Against). It's a sign that what they're doing is working, and they should keep going from here.
Mike Smith, 33, is 4-2-1 with .922 save percentage, and a 2.56 goals against average. After the season he had last year, (14-42-5, 3.01, .903) no one thought he'd be where he is today, but granted, he should play every year like the 2011 Phoenix Coyotes, amirite? Last time he was in the playoffs was the 2012 season in Phoenix, winning 9 of 16, a 1.44 GAA, and a .944 SV%. He went 8-0-0 with Canada in the WC in 2014-2015 season.
The team is primed for the future with 20 year old Max Domi, and 18 year old Dylan Strome (Erie Otters 1st round, 3rd overall, 2015), there's no doubt that they have a good chance to make the playoffs if they keep this up.
