Connor Mcdavid: Better Player Than We Thought?

There's no doubt Mcdavid has been on our radar since he was 13, and will be an interesting subject throughout the years, but maybe #97 of the Edmonton Oilers will be the next Crosby, Ovechkin, or maybe Lemieux or Gretzky. Although some overestimate and underestimate this 18 year old Edmonton prospect, he might turn out to be the next "Magnificent One", or the new "Great One". Let's dive right into the discussion as I explain the fabulous Connor Mcdavid, on this weeks episode of......nah never-mind, but you get the idea.
As a 1st overall draft pick this last June (2015), Connor Mcdavid has been speculated in many different ways: "Edmonton's savior", "A flop", or "Trade Bait", but one thing still stands, in the first ten games, it looks like Edmonton won't give up a player like Mcdavid. He's averaging PPG (5g, 5a, 10p, 10gp) and is still looking good. I personally have been following the kid (legally) as I have watched his first ten games. Many wondered how he would adapt to the speed of the NHL, and by gholly, he's looking like he could've done this 5 years ago. "I feel comfortable and confident through all 3 zones, and that translates to points, and eventually Edmonton wins", said Mcdavid himself. He can beat a lot of defensmen and with ease, as he flies by and scores like it was nothing. He shows the same traits as another superstar, Sidney Crosby, who has gone on a cold strak as of late, having points in 1 of 9 games. The main problem Edmonton has as a team, is goaltending. They need to find a solid starting goaltender, even the presence of Cam Ward (Carolina) would do perfectly. Ben Scrivens and Cam Talbot just aren't cutting it. The team has 24 goals for and 31 goals against with a 3-7-0 record. The team needs that, and more scoring from players like Nail Yakupov, Taylor Hall, and/or Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, all 1st overall picks from previous years.
Oh boy, my favorite part, the predictions. Mcdavid will hit 30, maybe 40 goal season, but lets just say 34, a 67 assist season, which totals up to 101 points in 82 games, which is Mario Lemieux type statistics right there.Even though all this, the Edmonton Oilers will go 33-38-11, and collect Austin Matthews for another 1st overall pick, because they need help, badly.
