I blog about baseball and hockey. For baseball it's the MLB, and for hockey it's the USHL, OHL, WHL, QMJHL, NCAA, NHL, and MWHSHL.

Johnathan Drouin Suspended Indefinitely
One of the best drafted prospects out there, Johnathan Drouin of the Tampa Bay Lightning, was just suspended as of 1/20/15 for an indefinite amount of time for failing to show up to an AHL game. This was after he was sent down to the AHL, and asked to be traded from Tampa. He has had only 2 points in 12 games after his injury. It's shocking for all this to go down because I recognize him only in NHL 16 as leading point getters with Steven Stamkos and either Nikita Kucherov or Ondrej Palat. Now all this is going down and maybe Tampa will have a different look in year 5 of NHL 17. Steve Yzerman, ex Detroit Red Wings captain is looking for a viable trade that'll help both Tampa and the other team. I want Drouin to go to Detroit because it would be awesome. He would give Detroit a little bit more offense, which is something Detroit's needed since Nyquist's goal streak in 2013-2014, or Lidstrom back since 2012. I'll admit, if we had a line of Gustav Nyquist on Left Wing, Dylan Larkin at centre, and Johnathan Drouin at Right Wing, that would be bomb af. I guess only time will tell whither Drouin even moves out of Tampa.
